When we heard AAF Charlotte was bringing back its infamous Halloween Dodgeball Ex-SCARE-aganza last week, our entire agency jumped at the chance to spend quality time together after-hours and network with industry colleagues —all while showing off our wicked-crazy dodgeball skills to everyone in attendance.
Immediately after being the first team to sign up, we got to work transforming ourselves into our Alter Egos, the biggest and baddest team of web developers and internet marketers this side of Gotham City. This heroic squad was comprised of our advertising and design-related secret identities: Magnetic Lasso Girl, TweetBot, Scope Creeper, WebCrawler and Code Igniter, all led by the courageous Captain Conversion. From the moment the Alter Egos hit center court, the balls started flying fast–BAM! POW!–and things really started getting interesting.
Though we put up a good fight, the Alter Egos were not victorious against our opponents in the 2 rounds of dodgeball that we played. Not all was lost, however. Proving that looking good and having fun are more important than winning, we did take home the Most Team Spirit award. And we also won a delicious cookie cake from AAF Charlotte for taking part in some friendly trash-talking with the other teams on Twitter in the days leading up to the tournament.
The other guys may have won this battle but the Alter Egos will be back next year…faster than high-speed internet, more powerful than banner ads, able to boost ROI for our clients in a single bound! We’re the Alter Egos!
