Developing Trends in Internet Usage

Today we continue our series on future trends in web development and usage by focusing on how we organize, search, and share information online.

One trend is clear: we are putting information on the web at an increasingly faster rate:

  • Twitter reports tweets per day went from under 50 million a day in 2010 to over 110 million a day now.
  • At the end of 2009, Facebook had 350 million users. At the end of 2010, there were over 600 million.

2010 Social Media Predictions

Well, it’s that time of year again!  Time for the Internet to be bombarded with posts about predictions of what is to come. It happens every year.
