SEO Internship

Summary 

The SEO internship is a non-paid, summer position that will be held in our Charlotte office. The deadline for applicants will be April 30, 2010 and the intership will begin the week of June 6, 2010 and last for three months.  It will require at least a 12 hour commitment per week. In return, you will receive training on the tools and techniques involved in marketing Websites through search and other relevant channels. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Learn best practices and industry standards for search engine optimization
  • Learn how to research and identify appropriate keywords for SEO implementation 
  • Learn how to optimize site components such as: copy, page title & descriptions, site architecture, creative, landing pages, etc. 
  • Actively test and implement new keywords and copy to maintain and increase positioning in natural search results. 
  • Implement inbound link building, social media strategies and landing pages. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • A basic understandingn of HTML and CSS is necessary
  • Excellent  overall computer skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Graphic design is a plus!Ability to establish priorities, multi-task and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Highly creative, a can-do attitude and an approachable and friendly personality
