Conversion Management

So they made it to your site, now what?

In the beginning, internet marketing was almost exclusively focused on SEO and PPC. While getting your site to rank well and creating cost-effective PPC campaigns are still at the heart of internet marketing, recent trends show more focus being put on what do after visitors click your search result or PPC advertisement. Optimizing the experience after the click is critical to making sure you get the most from your internet marketing dollars. At Alter Imaging, we break this down into three areas:

  1. Conversion Rate Optimization
For our organic (SEO) clients one of the first things we do is identify their conversion goals. Do you want people to purchase an item? Sign up for your newsletter? Fan you on Facebook? All of the above? We create tracking codes that integrate with our website analytics so these actions appear on your website.

  2. Landing Page Optimization
For our paid placement (PPC) clients we create custom landing pages for each PPC ad they run. Each landing page is custom tailored to line up perfectly with the ad itself. This ensures a unified, consistent message and increases the likelihood of a conversion. Another advantage to LPO is that it can increase your Quality Score on Google’s Adsense. An increased quality score means Google will show your ads more times for less money. This means you get more ad impressions (and sales!) for the same ad spend.

  3. A/B and Multivariate Testing
Our internet marketing department has over a decade of experience creating and managing online marketing campaigns but experience alone is not enough to make sure your site is converting at the highest rate possible. That’s where testing comes into play. Alter Imaging will create multiple versions of your web page and display different variations to different visitors. This allows us to see which variations will lead to more conversions. This takes the guesswork out of site improvements.

The picture we want to paint is an evolving, heuristic process that constantly monitors your website and makes changes according to visitor behavior. After those changes are made, we go back and test to see if we made the right choice.
