When beginning any website development project, having quality information is key to ensuring that your business objectives and customer needs are met. This is why our Interactive Strategy is part of every Web project. We create a development road map that guarantees efficient project flow, adherence to budgetary constraints, and a superior user experience.
Our Interactive strategy typically includes the following, but is modified to suit the specific needs of your project:
A client discovery will be conducted with project stakeholders to learn more about your company, its marketing objectives, and key drivers that cause customers to engage your company. While we believe strongly that your business objectives are very important, we’ll also push you to focus heavily on the needs of your visitor. If the site doesn’t solve the problem, provide the information, give the support, or lead your prospects to the product efficiently, it represents lost opportunities.
If we’re developing a custom application, we’ll also talk with you about your business requirements and the user needs for the software. We meet with your IT department to make sure all technical requirements or constraints are addressed before we outline how the software will function. Once we have all of this information under our belts, we’ll offer suggestions to make your website or software application a perfect fit for you and your customers.
The site map is a high-level overview of the site structure and shows the relationship between different sections of the site. Basically, it’s a handy flowchart that lets us layout your pages so everyone can see what page stems from where.
Page and technical specifications documents display the meat and potatoes of your website. It will note information about the text, functional requirements, form fields, processes, call to actions, and supplemental graphics, along with the technical requirements for every page on the Website.
We lay everything out in an easy-to-read manner to ensure that the project stakeholders are onboard with the website or application we are developing. This way, there won’t be any surprises when we start building out your website or application. You’ll be able to picture exactly what will be on every page.
The call to action strategy is one of the most important and often overlooked concepts in website development. It’s the manner in which you move your visitor from point A to point B -by just simply asking! Sounds easy, we know. But you wouldn’t believe the number of sites we have redeveloped where the previous development company missed the mark completely. So just click this Request a Proposal link, complete the form and we’ll be in touch to help you start converting your site visitors into customers.
Once we’ve outlined all of the information required to develop your website or software application, we start: the wireframe. Wireframes are created in order to provide a clear understanding of how information will be presented. A wireframe is similar to an architectural drawing. It can include the logo, navigation, text, dynamically-generated content, call to actions, breadcrumbs, form fields, etc. Providing wireframes gives our clients an opportunity to comment on the content layout prior to beginning the Web design. The number of wireframes provided depends on the complexity or size of the project.
In an ongoing effort to continually keep you so happy that at any given moment you’re likely to burst into song, we provide a design mood board before we really delve into the design of the website. A mood board will communicate style through establishing components, typography, imagery, color palettes and patterns/textures that will be incorporated into the design. It helps our clients have a visual understanding of the design path we’re heading without creating a full blown design, which takes a significant more amount of time.
Contact us today or request a proposal and let’s start chatting about your project.
